Geraldine E. Lindell
Geraldine E. (Janosky) Lindell, 92, formerly of Becker Road and Arbor Apartments, died at 6:35 p.m. Thursday at the Chicora Medical Center.
Born in Glassport, Pa., on Nov. 11, 1916, she was the daughter of Steve Janosky and Lucille (Florek) Janosky.
Mrs. Lindell was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church of Herman; the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion 683, and Christian Mothers of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church.
She was a 500 card player. She loved card parties, bingo, crocheting and reading her prayer book.
Mrs. Lindell is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Beechey of Butler; four sons, Joseph S. Lindell of Hendersonville, N.C., David A. Lindell of Freeport, John S. Lindell of Tequesta, Fla., and Robert A. Lindell of Karns City; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Lindell, who she married June 25, 1935, and who passed away on July 28, 1994. She also was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
<B>LINDELL</B> — There will be no public visitation for Geraldine E. (Janosky) Lindell, who died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman with Father Mark Carter officiating.
