Elizabeth "Betty" Shearer of Sarver died Thursday at the Forbes Nursing Center.

Born in Buffalo Township, she was the daughter of Roy and Naomi Petsinger Shearer.

She was a personnel manager for Penreco, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a nephew, Lynn Shearer and his wife, Theresa, of Johnstown; a brother-in-law, Allen Winchester of Sierra Madre, Calif., and a number of great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Isabel Winchester; and a brother, Gilbert Shearer.

Howard Greenfield officiating.
