The Smiths in 1948

Donald and Helen Smith of Harrisville celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner Nov. 14 at Clifford's Restaurant.

Smith married the former Helen Rembold on Nov. 12, 1948.

They have three children, Carolyn Palmer of Grove City, Darlene DeLong of Forestville and Janice Brinker of Grove City.

They also have nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Smith is retired from Cooper Energy Services in Grove City. His wife is a homemaker.They are both members of the Harrisville Deer Hunters Association, for which Smith is the vice president.They attend Harmony United Presbyterian Church in Harrisville.
