Margaret Neyman
Margaret "Margie" (Oesterling) Neyman, 95, died at 4:39 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her daughter in Butler, a Century Farm homestead which has been in the Oesterling family since the 1830s.
Born Nov. 29, 1913, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late James A. Oesterling and the late Elizabeth (Mueller) Oesterling.
Margaret was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler, where she taught Sunday school for more than 25 years and was very active as a volunteer.
Margie and George were the sponsors of the St. Mark's Evangelical Luther League youth program for nearly 20 years. She also was a co-founder of Butler's Meals on Wheels program, where she served as the food coordinator for 35 years.
She was in charge of the school cafeteria at Summit Township Elementary School for many years. Margie enjoyed gardening, golfing, dancing, traveling and games and puzzles of all kinds.
Mrs. Neyman is survived by three children and their spouses, George and Margaret Neyman III of Bolton, England, Gary and Nancy Neyman of Butler and Marilyn and Amato Prudente of Butler; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Neyman Jr.; their son, Nelson; five brothers; five sisters, one of which was her twin; and two great-grandchildren.
<B>NEYMAN</B> — Friends of Margaret "Margie" (Oesterling) Neyman, who died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W.
