Johnnie H. Brundidge, 90, formerly of Ford City, passed away Wednesday in the Kittanning Care Center, Kittanning Township.

She was born June 6, 1919, in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Wiley and Carrie Lee (Cross) Andrews.

Johnnie was a member of the former Phillips Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Ford City.

She was a veteran of the U.S. Army WACs during World War II.

She worked at Big River Manufacturing.

Mrs. Brundidge enjoyed playing bingo, walking, going to Atlantic City and reading. She loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are two sons, Rodney Brundidge of Philadelphia and William Brundidge of Ford City; two sisters, Alice Ware of Ford City and Eliza Johnson of Parks Township; her grandchildren, Kelley, Danielle and Deirdra; her great-grandchildren, Justin and Tyler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Brundidge in August 1973; and a sister, Della Gary.

<B>BRUNDIDGE</B> — Friends of Johnnie H. Brundidge, who died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the <B>WELCH FUNERAL HOME</B>, 1032 Fourth Avenue, Ford City. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ford Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kent Commodore officiating.
