Erma S. Johnson
Erma S. Johnson, 94, of Three Degree Road in Butler died Wednesday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was formerly of the Bloomfield area of Pittsburgh.
Born July 8, 1914, in Somerset County, she was the daughter of M. Guy and Goldie Stahl Shaulis.
Erma was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother and was a member of Evaline Lutheran Church in Bloomfield.
Her husband, Carl R. Johnson, who she married May 1, 1942, survives. Also surviving is a son, James G. Johnson of Penn Township; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Hakius of Lima, Ohio; two brothers, Kermit and Dalton Shaulis both of Somerset; two grandchildren, Joshua and Lauren Pytka of Lima, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Fanale, and a brother, Dwight Shaulis.
<B>JOHNSON</B> — Friends of Erma S. Johnson, who died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy Bupp, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
