Thomas Edwin Book, 48, of Mercer Road, New Castle, in Neshannock Township, Lawrence County, died suddenly at 6 p.m. Monday at his residence of natural causes.

Born in New Castle, Lawrence County, March 20, 1960, he was the son of Lydia Christine Grossman Book and the late James E. "Ed" Book.

He was employed at General Electric in Grove City as a fabricator.

Mr. Book was Presbyterian by faith.

He enjoyed vacations at the beach, spending time with family and friends, motorcycling, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Thea Lynn Kidd Book, who he married May 18, 1985; a son, Trevor T. Book of New Castle; and two daughters, Kasey L. Book of New Castleand Emily G. Book of New Castle. Also surviving are his mother of West Liberty; three sisters and their husbands, Bonnie and Walter Smith of New Castle, Debbie and Neil Gettig of Ohio, and Tina and Dennis Taggart of Slippery Rock; and a brother and his wife, John and Leslie Book of Butler.

<B>BOOK </B>— Visitation for Thomas Edwin Book, who died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Funeral services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home 5with the Rev. James Lewis, pastor of the West Liberty United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the West Liberty Cemetery.
