7:57 p.m. Tuesday — An unknown man driving a white pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet Silverado, struck the rear of a car stopped for a red light at Winfield Road and Route 356 in Winfield Township, and did not stop following the crash.Following the crash, the rear-ended car, driven by a 17-year-old Cabot boy, who police did not identify, was forced into a deer hauler being towed by a sport utility vehicle driven by Jennifer Deal, no age given, of Hopkinton, Mass. The SUV also was stopped for the traffic light.Police said the suspect is between 45 and 50 years old with short curly, brown hair. He was wearing glasses. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

1:30 a.m. Tuesday — Bernard Eugene Anthony Jr., 50, of Kittanning was charged with two counts of harassment as well as cruelty to animals after he allegedly threw pieces of wood at a Chicora woman, grabbed a 12-year-old Chicora boy by the neck and kicked a dog's head during an argument at a Rohrbach Road home in Bradys Bend Township.

Monday — Two vehicles parked at the Best Western hotel on Route 208 in Springfield Township reportedly were broken into between Sunday night and early Monday morning. A Dewalt wrench and four lithium batteries, owned by Joshua Darby of Bristol, Tenn., were stolen from one of the vehicles.Police did not disclose what items, owned by Bradley Chartrand of Ontario, Canada, were taken from the other vehicle.8 a.m. Friday — Acar driven by Ronald Waterhouse, 55, of Akron, Ohio, crashed into several small trees along Route 62 in Sandy Lake Township. Police said Waterhouse was cited for a lane violation.11:45 a.m. Dec. 24 — A car driven by Bryan Cornelious, 46, of Sharon struck a ditch and rolled onto its roof on Route 965 in Worth Township. Police said Cornelious, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Monday — A dark blue, 1995 Buick Century sedan with the Pennsylvania license plate GCR-3616 was reported stolen from the parking lot of the Belmont II bar in the Bon Aire Shopping Center sometime Saturday night. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.
