Francis L. Hyatt

Francis L. "Frank" Hyatt, 74, a Harrisville resident for the past eight years, formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at his home.

Born in Bethlehem, Pa., Sept. 14, 1934, he was the son of the late Charles H. Hyatt and the late Pearl E. (Burkhardt) Hyatt.

He was a 1952 graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem and a graduate of the Air Cadette Academy in Colorado.

He worked for Nestlerode Contacting in Lock Haven and formerly was employed as a New York Airway pilot.

Mr. Hyatt attended the Harmony Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. He was a former member of the Sports Car Club of America. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed all kinds of motor sports. He also was an avid reader.

He was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.

Surviving are his wife, Diane J. LaSasso Hyatt, who he married June 28, 1958; a daughter, Debra G. Hyatt-Burkhart and her husband, Dr. Patrick A., of Harrisville; a son, Stephen C. Hyatt and his wife, Tracy, of Chambersburg; and five grandchildren, Taylor Hyatt, Dominick Hyatt, Mackenze Burkhart, Quinn Burkhart and Staci Banks.

<B>HYATT</B> — Friends of Francis L. "Frank" Hyatt, who died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, will be received from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the Harmony Presbyterian Church, North Main Street, Harrisville, where services will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Kirk A. Erwin, pastor, and the Rev. Dr. John C. McElwain, former pastor, officiating.Memorial contributions may be made to the Slippery Rock Community Library, 316 N. Main St., Slippery Rock, PA 16057.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>,Harrisville.
