Walter Thomas Davidson, 80, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away Sunday in the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Walter was born in Freeport on Dec. 30, 1927, and was a son of the late Ira R. and Sara Redick Davidson.

Mr. Davidson was a past president of the PARC in Butler and a lifelong member of the Masons.

He was predeceased by his wife, Yvonne L. Davidson, who died in February 2007.

Surviving are a son, Eric Thomas Davidson of Myrtle Beach; a sister, JoAnn Berkes (Earl) of Myrtle Beach; and several nephews and nieces.
