John and Joan Murphy

John and Joan Murphy of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Murphy married the former Joan Kildoo on Dec. 27, 1958, at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

They have four children, Catherine Metrick, Connie Dunn, Joyce Laughlin and Jacqueline DiPippa, all of Butler.

They also have 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Murphy is retired from working as a boiler man for the Butler School District.

Mrs. Murphy is retired from working as a nurse at Butler Memorial Hospital.

The Murphys are members of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.
