9:12 p.m. Thursday — Randy R. Double, 51, of Butler was charged with simple assault after he allegedly pushed Jennie A. Morris, 32, out the door of their shared residence at 225 N. Church St., Apt. 1, causing her to cut her back on a nail in the door jamb.12:53 a.m. Tuesday — Joshua R. Herald, 20, of East Butler was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after he allegedly took a spare cash drawer containing $37 from the Sunoco A-plus at 366 E. Jefferson St. while the clerk's back was turned. The clerk later identified Herald from a photo lineup. Herald also was wanted on a warrant from the Butler County Sheriff's office.
11:23 a.m. Friday — Someone stole tools from a pickup truck in the parking lot of Target in Butler Commons between 11 and 11:20 a.m. Friday. Anyone with information should call police at 724-285-9600.5:42 p.m. Tuesday — John K. Kummer, 37, of Butler was charged with two counts of criminal mischief, one count each of public drunkenness, driving under the influence, disorderly conduct and numerous traffic offenses after he allegedly slashed several vehicle tires on the 600 block of Bessemer Avenue. While police were en route, Kummer allegedly drove over two retaining walls in his truck.
2:42 a.m. Saturday — Christopher Murphy, 30, of Fenelton was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of West Wayne and South Washington streets in Butler.8:12 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Leann Kradel, 47, struck a pedestrian, Jon L. Christley, 68, of Butler as he was walking along Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing Township. Christly suffered moderate injuries.2:11 p.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Donna A. Digiacomo, 39, of Eau Claire crashed into a utility pole along Route 58 in Allegheny Township. Digiacomo, who was not injured, was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed and driving under suspension.
