David L. Gaiser
David L. Gaiser, 81, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Oct. 30 in St. Petersburg.
Born Nov. 20, 1926, in Boggsville, Armstrong County, he was the son of the late Alvie Gaiser and Mable Ewing Gaiser and spent his childhood in Boggsville.
David attended Freeport High School. He joined the Army in 1945 before his high school graduation, and his mother accepted his diploma at graduation on his behalf.
After returning the from service, David worked at the family sawmill in Boggsville.
He met and married Delores Belczcwski from Pittsburgh May 29, 1951. They moved to Hershey and were house parents for 24 years at the Milton Hershey School for Boys.
After retirement, they moved to Florida and lived in San Antonio, Fla., until this summer, when they moved to a retirement community in St. Petersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Gaiser; and a sister, Anna Frantz.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Delores "Dolly" Gaiser; his sister, Bernice Craig of Sarver; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
David enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and card games with his many friends.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
