The Winters in 1958

Don and Marlene Winters of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a weekend trip to Tara, A Country Inn, in Sharon.

Winters married the former Marlene Beachem on Dec. 20, 1958, at the North Street Christian Church in Butler. The Rev. N. Quentin Grey officiated.

They have two children, Tracy Collins of Butler and Grant Winters of Mars. They also have five grandchildren.

Winters is retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Pittsburgh, where he worked for 35 years.Mrs. Winters is retired from teaching for 35 years at the West End School and McQuistion School.The Winters enjoy traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. They belong to the North Street Christian Church, where they have been active for over 60 years.
