Janet and Chester Aspelin

Chester and Janet Aspelin of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner Nov. 26 at Dingbats Restaurant.

Aspelin married the former Janet Barnhart on Nov. 26, 1948, at First English Lutheran Church.

They have three children, Barbara Andrews, Karen Cranmer and Carol Achezinski, all of Butler.

They also have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Aspelin is retired from working as the service manager at Butler County Ford.Mrs. Aspelin is a homemaker and worked for the Bell Telephone Company in her early years of marriage.The couple belongs to First English Lutheran Church, where Mrs. Aspelin is the financial secretary.
