Floyd C. Thoma
Floyd C. Thoma, 61, of Butler, died Thursday at his home.
Born March 31, 1947, in East Butler, he was the son of the late Benedict C. Thoma and the late Valeria (Ritzert) Thoma.
He had previously worked at Pullman Standard and at Thoma Tree Service and was presently employed by Canon-USA. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, going to the river and setting off fireworks and spending time with his grandsons.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria J. (Hortert) Thoma, whom he married June 25, 1966; two daughters, Joyce M. and her husband, John, McCune of Butler, and Kathleen and her husband, Ken, McKee of Butler; a son, John C. and his wife, Jennifer, Thoma of Butler; two grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Thoma; two sisters, Mary Miller of Butler and Ruth Hall of East Butler; four brothers, Paul Thoma of East Butler, Ralph Thoma of Butler, Regis and his wife, Gloria, Thoma of Butler, and Earl and his wife, Pam, Thoma of Slippery Rock.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Brooke Miller, and a niece.
<B>THOMA</B> — Friends of Floyd C. Thoma, who died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Butler.
