Jeanne E. Bristow, 92, of Butler went to be with her Lord at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Evergreen Nursing Center.

She was born June 4, 1916, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Samuel Bristow and the late Elizabeth Esler Bristow.

Miss Bristow was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Route 68, where she had taught Sunday school for many years and was a former member of the church board.

She served on the board at Mental Health Association. She was a member of the city's Planning Commission, Tanglewood and the Veterans Affairs Credit Union.

She enjoyed making people laugh and truly loved life. She worked as a medical secretary for the VA Medical Center for 43 years.

Surviving are a brother, Samuel L. and Anita Bristow of Sheffield, Ala.; a niece, Dolly Bristow of Royal Oak, Mich.; a nephew, Lee Weigle of Virginia; many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; many good friends; and her cat and companion, Patata.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Bristow; a sister, Violet Weigle; and a nephew, Richard Bristow.

<B>BRISTOW</B> — Friends of Jeanne E. Bristow, who died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Chamberlain officiating.
