Ronald Harry Jones, 51, of Key West, Fla., formerly of Butler, died Oct. 6 at Lower Keys Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 9, 1956, in Butler, the son of Robert Harry Jones of Butler and the late Carol Helen Stubenbordt Jones.

Ronald graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York. He worked as a chef in Florida.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served on the USS John Marshall.

Surviving are his father, Robert Harry Jones of Butler; a sister, Cindy (Jeffrey) Boice of Mars; a niece; and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
