Olivia R. Smith
Olivia R. Smith, 50, of North Washington passed away at 3:46 a.m. Tuesday at Concordia Hospice following an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 26, 1958, in Glassmere, Allegheny County. She was the daughter of Francis Gehenio and the late Gloria Jannello Gehenio.
She was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church. She was the president of the Legion of Mary and the Brides of the Trinity in Pittsburgh.
She was a graduate of Butler County Community College and Penn State University. She was a registered nurse for 20 years at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She had organized bus trips for the March for Life pilgrimages. She loved flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Audie D. Smith, who she married Aug. 9, 1986; one daughter, Gloria M. Smith at home; four sons, Audie D. Smith Jr., Aaron Smith, Christopher Smith and Kyle Smith, all at home; her father, Francis Gehenio of Sarver; one sister, Regina Gehenio of Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Anthony Gehenio of Sarver; her mother-in-law, Mildred Smith of Butler; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, one sister and one brother.
<B>SMITH</B> — Friends of Olivia R. Smith, who died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church with Father James Bedillion of St. Alphonsus Parish officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
