Geraldine J. "Gerry" Osche Drane, 80, of Saxonburg passed away at 8:24 p.m. Thursday while in the company of family members at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Geraldine was born in Kittanning on April 20, 1928, the daughter of the late Fredrick J. and Mae (Penvose) George.

She worked as a cook at various restaurants and bars in the area for over 50 years. She retired from Zacherl's Restaurant in 2003.

Gerry was a social member of the Sarver Vets Club. She enjoyed reading and going on scenic drives with her family.

Geraldine is survived by seven daughters, Monica Weber of Walled Lake, Mich., Roberta Bouch of Tarentum, Veronica Henry of Saxonburg, Shirley (David) Fisher of Centerville, Tenn., Lucinda (Danny) Myers of Saxonburg, Berniece Bailey of Winfield Township, and Laura (Mark) Adams of Fenelton; and five sons, Samuel (Patty) Osche of Butler, Benjamin Osche of Cabot, Kenneth Osche of Elyria, Ohio, Gerald (Vicki) Osche of New Castle, and David (Shari) Osche of Winfield Township. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a sister, Carol Jean (Ron) Brozenick of South Buffalo Township.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Drane, who passed away in 1992, and a brother, Ivan George.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Judd of Cabot United Methodist Church officiating.
