The Lowers in 1958

Ron and Kathy Lowers of Slippery Rock celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at their home.

Lowers married the former Kathy Smith on Nov. 21, 1958, at their pastor's home in Mercer.

They have two children, Mitzi Wodtke of West Sunbury and Greg Lowers of Slippery Rock.

Lowers is retired from working for 38 years at Cooper Industries in Grove City. He was a member of various bowling and golfing leagues.

Mrs. Lowers worked for 34 years as an officer at the First National Bank of Slippery Rock. She also belonged to bowling and golfing leagues.
