Edith Louise Groves
Edith Louise Groves, 90, formerly of Wagner Avenue, Butler, died Friday at the Chicora Medical Center.
She was born April 13, 1918, in Emlenton, a daughter of William Crispin and Mary Summerville.
Mrs. Groves was a homemaker and a Protestant.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Pauline and her husband, Carl, Hays of East Butler; a son, Richard and his wife, Nancy, Groves of Chicora; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sophia Groves of New Castle; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin I.F. Groves; four brothers; seven sisters; and two sons.
<B>GROVES — </B>Friends of Edith Louise Groves, who died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME,</B> 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary J. Kitchen of East Butler Presbyterian Church, officiating.
