Alice C. Phipps, 71, of Summit Township died at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 6, 1936, the daughter of Earl and Mary Kiley Eppinger.

Mrs. Phipps was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy and her husband, Robert, Walker of Cabot, Cathy and her husband, Kenneth, Geibel of Butler, and Tracey Kelley of Butler; two sons, David "Butch" Phipps of Butler and Timothy Phipps and his wife, Jan, of Prospect; a brother, Robert and his wife, Betty Lou, Eppinger of Butler; 10 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Phipps was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Phipps, who died Jan. 25, 1986; and four brothers.

<B>PHIPPS — </B>Friends of Alice C. Phipps, who died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, </B>124 E. North St., Butler. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Butler County Memorial Park.
