2:06 a.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Lori Kriess, 25, of Donegal Township and James Reynolds III, 23, of Enola, Cumberland County, collided at Main and Wayne streets. Police said Reynolds was cited for a flashing signal violation.Sunday — Jennifer Johns reported that someone between 2 and 9:09 p.m. broke into her West Diamond Street apartment and took a Sony PlayStation 3 game console, Kodak digital camera, and a men's necklace and watch. The stolen property is valued at $1,600.Sunday — Roger Hitchcock told police that an unknown thief overnight removed the tailgate from his Chevy S-10 pickup truck at his Pleasant View Avenue home. The tailgate, which has "Chevrolet" painted in gold across it, is valued at $300.5:41 p.m. Saturday — Police arrested David Glenn Anderson, 67, of Butler after he allegedly caused a disturbance at a community dinner at the North Street Christian Church on West North Street.Called to the church for an intoxicated man punching people, police found Anderson. When an an officer told the defendant he was under arrest for public drunkenness, he began to pull away and later held onto a handrail along the sidewalk.Anderson refused to let go of the handrail and at one point pushed back against the officer, who fell onto his back and elbow, tearing his uniform shirt and pants. The suspect also continued to struggle with police as they tried to place him in handcuffs.Police said Anderson is charged with resisting arrest, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
4:25 p.m. Saturday — Matthew Strobel, 53, of Butler is accused of shoplifting meat at the Friedman's market in the Greater Butler Mart. Police said Strobel was cited for retail theft.10:15 a.m. Saturday — Vehicles driven by Bradley Thomas Powell, 25, of Cranberry Township and Joanna Smith, 52, of Butler Township collided on McCalmont Road.
12:27 a.m. today — CodyCraig, 21, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed on Chicora-Fenelton Road in Donegal Township.11:05 p.m. Monday — Asport utility driven by Wade Kammerdiener, 44, of Kittanning struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof after skidding off ice-covered Route 422 near Wesley Lane in Summit Township.10:30 p.m. Monday — An unknown driver in a Chevrolet Cavalier did not stop after hitting a car on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. After being struck, the car driven by Deborah Conners, 47, of Erie hit a guardrail.12:55 p.m. Sunday — Acar driven by Lori A. Moore, 42, of Saxonburg struck a drainage ditch, stone wall and embankment on Saxonburg Road near Mushrush Road in Jefferson Township. Police said Moore faces a ticket for driving too fast for conditions.
10:09 p.m. Sunday — Two bank money bags were stolen in a burglary at Country Pools and Spas on Route 422 in Worthington.The unknown burglar or burglars threw a large block of stone through the front entrance side panel window to get inside the business, which sustained about $200 in damage.Once inside, the suspect got into an office and took the money bags from a filing cabinet. Police said one bag contained $163; the other had eight credit cards in it.Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.
Friday — Someone threw an unknown object at a truck-tractor traveling in the 4700 block of Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The object struck and damaged the vehicle's windshield. No injuries were reported. Police did identify the driver of the truck, owned by Devonian Industries, of Morgantown, W.Va.
