Mary Solomon
Mary Solomon, 91, formerly of Zelienople and Salem, Ohio, died Monday in Washington, D.C., where she lived with her daughter, Joan, for the past three years.
Born May 28, 1917, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Popdan) Rohan.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan M. Janshego and her husband, Robert, of Washington, D.C., and Stephanie Skurcenski of Bartlesville, Okla.; and two grandchildren, Jason Skurcenski of Denver, Colo., and Amy Scaerof Fort Wayne, Ind. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren, John, Audrey, Thomas, Hannah, Jillian and Molly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Solomon, who died in February 2005.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople; where a service of the wake will be held at 8 p.m.Additional visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elias Orthodox Church, 423 Cherry Way, Ellwood City, where funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. with Father John Schmidt officiating.
