Cherie Cowan Pinkle
Cherie R. Cowan Pinkle, 77, of Ellwood City died of cancer Saturday at her home.
She was born in Ellwood City, Sept. 3, 1931, to William and Viola Honnifer Cowan.
An alumna of Lincoln High School, she worked at Weyerhouser in Harmony and at Camp Kon-O-Kwee in Fombell.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer (St. Agatha) Church and had been a social member and helped with meals at the Hungarian Home, Ellwood City.
She enjoyed reading and collecting angels. She and her husband had many different pets over the years, including her beloved dog, Elvis.
Surviving are her husband, William Pinkle, who she married May 10, 1951; three children, William N. and Sally Pinkle of Portersville, Joseph and Catherine Pinkle of Ellwood City and Cheryl and Terry Peters of Islamorada, Fla.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice of Ellwood City.
A great-granddaughter, Krystal Pinkle, died July 29, 1997.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Arndt officiating.
