Monday — Police charged Eric Angerett, 29, of Butler with bad checks for allegedly bouncing two checks for a combined $226.16 in June at the Friedman's store on West Brady Street.Monday — Police charged Patricia Adams, 68, of Butler with bad checks for allegedly bouncing a check for $116.99 in July at the Medicine Shoppe on Pillow Street.Nov. 4 — An 11-year-old city boy is accused of stealing a small Honda motorcycle from a Federal Street home. The boy, whom police did not identify, is charged in juvenile court with theft and receiving stolen property.Oct. 31 — A 29-year-old Butler man told police that while walking on West Jefferson Street, two males assaulted him. Police later arrested one of the suspects, a 15-year-old boy.The teen, who police did not identify, is charged in juvenile court with simple assault, conspiracy and disorderly conduct. Police said the identity of the other suspect is unknown.5:48 p.m. Oct. 30 — Jason Butler, 29, of Center Township suffered minor injuries when his bicycle collided with a car at East Penn and North McKean streets. Jennifer Cowan, 22, of Butler was driving the car.8:53 a.m. Oct. 27 — A car driven by James Wehr III, 22, of Butler Township crashed into a tree at North McKean and East Penn streets. Wehr told police he lost control of the car after spilling a cup of hot coffee on his pants leg.

Saturday — A portion of Route 422 was closed for about an hour after a car caught fire, which minutes later led to a two-vehicle crash.Police said Stephanie Feltmate, 23, of Butler was driving the westbound car that erupted in flames at 5:26 p.m. about 1 mile west of Route 8 North. Mercer Road volunteer firefighters were called and put out the blaze. Feltmate was not hurt but her car was destroyed.At 5:33 p.m., a vehicle driven by John Green, 60, of Fenelton, traveling on the same road slowed down for the fire and was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Judy Gribus, 61, of Portersville. The collision pushed Green's vehicle into a Jersey barrier.2 a.m. Saturday — A wallet was stolen from the bar area at Frisco's in the Days Inn on Route 8 South. The wallet was later recovered in the parking lot but the money inside was missing.11:30 p.m. Friday — A bicycle was stolen outside the Crossbow Lounge at the Lyn-Mar Plaza in Lyndora. The bike is described as a black and blue, 18-speed Huffy model.1:30 p.m. Friday — Vehicles driven by Ryan Guiste, 19, and Ronald Double, no age given, both of Butler collided at Hansen Avenue and Whitestown Road. Police cited Guiste for a left-turn violation.

Monday — Police reported that numerous household items were stolen in a burglary at an Eau Claire Road home in Marion Township. The break-in occurred sometime since August 2005.9:45 p.m. Sunday — Shaun A. Grill, 25, of Franklin, Venango County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Police said Grill was placed in Butler County Prison after it was learned he was wanted on a warrant.Nov. 2 — An unknown burglar stole numerous lawn tools from a shed on Hartel Lane in Oakland Township. The tools, valued at $1,100, were taken between Oct. 26 and Nov. 2.

Saturday — Two deer were struck by cars in separate accidents on Interstate 80 in Barkeyville. The first accident occurred at 8:30 a.m. near Exit 29. The second accident happened at 6:40 p.m. near the rest area. The drivers, both from Erie, were not hurt.

11:15 a.m. Oct. 29 — Crystal Nevins, 24, of Cadogan was hurt when the car she was driving spun into the back of a truck tractor in a construction area on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township. Nevins, who was treated at Allegheny Valley Hospital for minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

2 a.m. Sunday — Jeffrey A. Cavalovitch, 24, of New Brighton, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Church Road in Springfield Township.9:45 a.m. Wednesday — Two people were hurt when a pickup truck driven by John M. Rust, 22, and a car driven by Andrew P. Bortner, 71, both of Grove City, collided at Route 58 and George Junior Road in Pine Township. Rust and Bortner were treated at Grove City Medical Center for injuries in the crash.8:35 p.m. Nov. 2 — Kathleen Cline, 40, of Grove City was charged with terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, harassment and public drunkenness. Police said Cline allegedly threatened to kill Jack Cline, 50, of Grove City as she made an aggressive move toward him while holding a knife.Police found Cline walking on a public street and reported she was highly intoxicated. She was taken to the Mercer County Jail and later released after posting bond.9:40 a.m. Oct. 29 — A pickup truck driven by Sean Doran, 42, of New Castle skidded on snow-and slush-covered Route 208 in Springfield Township, and struck a utility pole. Police said Doran was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
