V. Donna Heasley

V. Donna Heasley, 80, of McQuistion Road died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 14, 1928, in Mercer, she was the daughter of Nelson L. Cress and Clara Messmer Cress.

Mrs. Heasley was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mrs. Heasley was a member the American Legion Post 778 Auxiliary and a social member of the VFW Post 249.

Mrs. Heasley is survived by her constant companion of 30 years, Joseph Erkman of Butler; one daughter, Mrs. James R. (Laurie) Ludlum of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Edward "Eddie" Cress of Emlenton; two nephews, Jeff Cress and John Cress; one niece, Barbara Rice; and one first cousin, Louise Kimel of Gainesville, Fla.

Mrs. Heasley was preceded in death by her husband, Francis E. Heasley, who passed away Nov. 15, 1976; by one sister, Mae Krabill; and by one niece, Judy Miller.

<B>HEASLEY </B>— Friends of V. Donna Heasley, who died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Alden Towberman of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
