Nancy A. Monks
Nancy A. Monks, 54, of Lynn Haven, Fla., formerly of Butler, passed peacefully to her Heavenly Father at her home Thursday with her husband and dear friend at her bedside.
She was born Oct. 22, 1953, in Butler, a daughter of the late Paul and Stella Brandt Birckbichler.
Nancy was a 1971 graduate of the Butler High School, and she worked as an administrative assistant for Peoples First Community Bank in Panama City, Fla., for the past 11 years.
She was a member of St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church in Panama City.
She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed collecting angels, clowns and bears.
Surviving are her husband, William J. Monks, who she married July 29, 1978; three brothers and their wives, Dr. Paul and Donna Birckbichler of Butler, Edward and Rita Birckbichler of Lindale, Texas, and Bill and Karen Berkin of Butler; her father-in-law, Lawrence W. Monks of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; her sister-in-law, Sarah Ashton of Rochester, Minn.; and her close personal friend, Mrs. Sonny (Helen) Morris of Prospect. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
<B>MONKS</B> — Friends of Nancy A. Monks, who died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass or Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
