Dorothy Jane Nichol
Dorothy Jane Nichol (nee King), beloved wife of James O. Nichol; devoted mother of James E. Nichol, Thomas K. Nichol, Nancy (Ronald) Shryock and Patricia (Robert) Joecken; dear grandmother of seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and sister of Mary Sterrett, passed away Sunday due to complications of rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 86.
She was a 1943 graduate of Grove City College. She entered the Navy in 1943 as a Naval officer and served in the Naval Intelligence Department in Washington, D.C., during World War II.
After the war, she married James and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she received her masters in education from the University of Cincinnati and taught business at Stowe Adult Center and Hillcrest School.
