5:46 p.m. Monday — Someone stole two John McCain election signs valued at $10 and belonging to Paul Bopp from a yard along South Cliff Street.3:51 p.m. Saturday — Someone broke into the home at 238 Federal St. and stole about $500 in rolled and loose change belonging to Eric O'Donnell of Butler.12:58 a.m. Saturday — Emma Parker, also known as Emma Scott, 36, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, a red light violation and driving without a license following a traffic stop along West Cunningham Street near Pillow Street. A passenger in the car, William H. Anderson of Butler, was taken to Butler County Prison after police discovered he was wanted on two warrants out of Butler County.11:15 p.m. Friday — Bryan Lee Conner, 21, of Butler, Adam Lee McCardle, 22, of Butler and Joseph Tyler Smith, 21, of West Sunbury each were charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after they were allegedly caught kicking cars and breaking off cars' side mirrors along Third Avenue. McCardle also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana.7:36 p.m. Friday — Someone stole a black-and-yellow mini motorcycle valued at $500 and four rims valued at $1,000 belonging to Alfonso Cordero-Xoxhimitl of Butler from a shed along Cleveland Street.2:35 p.m. Friday — Someone stole two solar lights valued at $20 and belonging to Ruth A. Gibson of Butler from her yard along McClain Avenue.6:13 p.m. Thursday — Two 15-year-old Butler boys were charged with retail theft after they allegedly tried to leave Rite Aid on Main Street without paying for several items.Thursday — Someone driving a green or possibly teal vehicle struck a car owned by Brian R. Peters of Butler while it was parked in the rear lot of the Butler Post Office on East Wayne Street then fled the scene.
12:01 p.m. Sunday — Jeff Maslyk Jr., no age or address given, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly hid two hoagies in his backpack at the Friedman's in the Greater Butler Mart.6:13 p.m. Sunday — Ryan Macomber, 27, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was allegedly found passed out behind Meridian Elementary School with a syringe in his possession.1:26 a.m. Saturday — A vehicle driven by Paul Stewart, 47, of Butler was struck by an unknown hit-and-run vehicle at the intersection of Meridian and Cupps roads. The suspect vehicle should have heavy damage to its passenger side and is missing the passenger side mirror. Any one with information should call police at 724-285-9600.10:10 p.m. Friday — Bryce Schell, 19, of Slippery Rock was charged with retail theft after he allegedly was caught shoplifting at Wal-Mart.7:22 p.m. Friday — Phillip Slagle, 18, of Butler was charged with retail theft after he allegedly was caught shoplifting at Wal-Mart.
Saturday — Someone stole a snow fence belonging to Toby Township from a field along Switzer Road. Anyone with information should call 814-226-1710.Wednesday — Rebecca Remmick, 31, of Sligo was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and theft after she allegedly entered a home on Huckleberry Ridge Road in Piney Township, stealing prescription medication belonging to Paul and Connie Greenewalt of Sligo, between Oct. 14 and Wednesday.Oct 19 — A car driven by Douglas V. Leasure, 47, of Kittanning crashed into a utility pole along Route 68 in Toby Township. Leasure was taken by ambulance to Clarion Hospital for treatment of his injuries and was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic.Oct. 18 — Someone stole a purse belonging to Anjenette Dawn Hawk, 33, of Rimersburg while she was at the Route 68 Bar in Toby Township between 11 p.m. Oct. 18 and 1:30 a.m. Oct. 19. Inside the purse, valued at $20, were diamond earrings worth $700, prescription medication worth $45 and various makeup worth $5. Any one with information should call police at 814-226-1710.
