Louise Fisher
Louise Fisher, 77, of Portersville passed away at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry.
Born Jan. 22, 1931 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, she was the daughter of David Milton and Florence Aiken Harlan.
She was a former elder at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church.
She had formerly worked at the A&P Supermarket in New Castle as a cashier and in the office.
She is survived by her husband, Richard V. Fisher, whom she married Oct. 16, 1951; a daughter, Cindy L. Speer of Portersville; a son, Gary L. "Fish" Fisher of Portersville; three brothers, Joseph Harlan of South Carolina, Arthur Harlan of New Castle and Lloyd Harlan of Princeton, Pa.; one sister, Ethel Mayer Hogue of Princeton, Pa.; six grandsons and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
<B>FISHER — </B>Friends of Louise Fisher, who died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, will be received from at the <B>TURNER-MYERS FUNERAL HOME, </B>208 N. Jefferson Street, New Castle, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Marsha Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hermon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf.
