5:25 p.m. Thursday — An SUV driven by Michael Jolly, 54, of Butler and a car driven by Cathy Noah, 49, of Butler collided on West New Castle Street near Hansen Avenue. Neither Jolly nor his passengers, Janie Jolly, 57, and Christopher Jolly, 20, both of Butler, were injured. Noah and her passenger, Szalay Miller of Butler, suffered minor injuries.6:51 p.m. Wednesday — Daniel Martin, 30, of Ellwood City was charged with retail theft after he allegedly tried to steal a thermal underwear shirt from the Dollar General store.4:24 p.m. Tuesday — Dodie Matuke, 41, of Butler and a 17-year-old girl from Butler were each charged with simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute at 429 Negley Ave.4:23 p.m. Tuesday — William Dean Dutter, 51, of Butler was charged with retail theft and public intoxication after he allegedly stole a hoagie from Friedman's. Dutter, who has five prior arrests for retail theft and was on parole, was taken to Butler County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail.Butler Township2:41 p.m. Wednesday — Jennifer Cowan, 22, of Butler was charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole lipstick from the Dollar General store at Greater Butler Mart.State Police, Butler4:30 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Edward Brown, 75, of Butler crashed into a tree on Sunset Drive in Center Township. Brown was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.1:24 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by a 17-year-old girl from Renfrew and a vehicle driven by Josh Brian Grant, 30, of Connellsville collided along Route 8 in Middlesex Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured.11:10 a.m. Wednesday — Kyle Goodell, 50, of Butler was charged with simple assault following a domestic dispute at a residence on South Benbrook Road in Center Township.6:43 p.m. Sunday — Daniel Eugene Logan of Butler was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop along Route 356 in Winfield Township.9:45 p.m. Oct. 10 — A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old boy from West Sunbury crashed and rolled over on Brimstone Road in Cherry Township. The driver suffered a minor injury. A 15-year-old female passenger in the car was not injured. Neither individual was wearing a seat belt.

12:26 a.m. Friday — George James Salamon, 53, of New Castle was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 168 in Taylor Township.

Thursday — Someone stole a log splitter belonging to Charles Paul Taylor of Grove City from his yard on Mercer-Butler Pike in Liberty Township between Monday and Thursday.Oct. 15 — Someone stole a helmet and two pairs of goggles belonging to Edward L. King, Jr. of Grove City from a shed and garage along Gill Road in Pine Township between Oct. 12 and Oct. 15.
