Sunday — Jennie Morris of Butler reported her minivan was stolen Friday while parked on West Brady Street. State police the next day found the van abandoned and undamaged in the area of Sunset Drive and Mahood Road in Center Township.8:51 p.m. Saturday — Patricia Self, 37, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on East Jefferson Street.
Monday — Police reported that a large amount of stolen wire was recently recovered on East Jefferson Street, across from Petroleum Technologies.Most of the wire was returned to the owner; however, police are still seeking the owner of a small wooden spool of ground wire as well as household grade wire. The owner is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.3:46 p.m. Sunday — Kevin Lamka, 26, of Butler was arrested for allegedly shoving a 27-year-old Butler woman against a wall during a domestic dispute at an Arlington Avenue home. Police said the victim, who they did not identify, suffered an injury to her right eye.Lamka was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail.9:33 p.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Mark Moses, 18, of Butler and a car driven by Casey Swartwout, 18, of Renfrew collided at Evans City and Eberhart roads.4:35 p.m. Friday — Rhonda Houston, 41, of Slippery Rock is accused of shoplifting $275 in merchandise at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Police said Houston is charged with retail theft.
5:50 p.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Daniel W. Shepherd, 22, of Evans City and Brittany Harry, 20, of Edinburg, Lawrence County, collided on the Interstate 79 on-ramp at Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Shepherd was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.
