I would like to issue a warning to anyone who happens to be smoking in the neighborhood of Route 8 and Litman roads in Butler County. Please do not ; I repeat with emphasis do not throw any lit cigarettes or any matches out your window.! You may just blow up the entire county!! I had the unfortunate experience of driving down Litman road yesterday with my car windows up I might add, and I made the unfortunate mistake of breathing. Oh My God!! I immediately took ill with a severe migraine and became so nauseated that I had to pull my car over to Throw up!!! I am surprised that any shoppers or for that matter any vegetation in the immediate area were able to stay upright. I have never smelled anything so nasty and vile in my life. The BASA needs to either put a lid on what they are doing or put out vomit bags every 10 feet on Litman Road and Route 8 and they should also include smelling salts to revive you! I have no idea how anyone can stand the Peee UUUUUU. I have lived in the Butler area most of my life so I am familiar with the once in a while aroma that sneaks through , but this in an entirely different class all together. This actually made me ill to the point where I had to pull over and throw up! I thought New Jersey smelled badly, (it does of course) but this, this was just completely over the top. How could anyone stand it? The entire area should be evacuated!! Whatever the BASA is doing to treat the raw sewage; guess what ? It aint working. I mean It really just is not even in the vicinity of close to be working. I can't believe that more people are not complaining. I haven't seen or heard anyone complain. This smell is so bad they should actually put a travel at your own risk sign up. I certainly would have appreciated the warning. This vile cocktail cannot be good for anyone's health. I can't imagine what it must be like for people who live in that area who have breathing problems. It is bad enough for those of us who can breath without difficulty. I see this as a matter of public health and I think it is time to bring someone in who can get something done. Where is the DEP when you need them?? I can't imagine anything being worse for business in that area either, I mean how do the restaurants cope? Any one that thinks I am over stating the smell should take a drive and smell for yourself. If I were you however I would just take my word for it. You will thank me later. I am looking at this web rant as a public service announcement without the loud whistle. I am going to avoid that area like the plague. I don't care if I have to drive 20 miles out of my way even with the high gas prices. Something has to be done and immediately!!
