11 a.m. Friday — A hit-and-run driver struck a car belonging to April Moore of Butler while it was parked along South Street near Heim Street, leaving white and silver trim on the ground.3:30 p.m. Thursday — A vandal spray-painted several buildings overnight Wednesday, including a garage on State Street owned by Christina Cubbison of Butler, a garage on West Brady Street owned by Harry Hinderliter of Butler and the wall of Emery's Archery Shop on State Street.12:20 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Katherine Van Laningham, 64, of Butler and an SUV driven by Dee Dandy, 56, of Karns City collided at the intersection of West North and North Jackson streets. Both drivers were wearing seat belts; Van Laningham suffered an unknown injury. She was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital.

1:04 a.m. Friday — Christopher Nunez, 22, of Butler was charged with loitering and prowling, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after allegedly refusing to leave when asked by police who were investigating a separate call at Old Plank Estates. Nunez also had a warrant from the Butler County Sheriff's Office.2 a.m. Sept. 21 — William Zavidny, 22, of Butler was charged with simple assault and criminal mischief after he allegedly threw bricks at a customer and the door of Cav's Place on Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora.State Police, Butler12:55 a.m. Saturday — Katie E. Stanley, 25, of Slippery Rock was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop near the Ivy Apartments on Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township.4:30 p.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Justin R. McGowan, 19, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Jonne M. Dallos, 52, of Butler collided on Route 8 in Center Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and Dallos suffered a minor injury. McGowan was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.6 p.m. Thursday — A van driven by Edward G. Freyermuth, 45, of Cabot and a Jeep driven by Jason S. Gallagher, 24, of Butler collided at the intersection of Route 356 and Marwood Road. Gallagher and his passenger, Stephen W. Rome, 24, of Cabot, were not injured, nor were Freyermuth and a 9-year-old boy in his vehicle. Eileen Freyermuth, 44, of Cabot, a passenger in Freyermuth's vehicle, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for shoulder pain. Edward Freyermuth was cited for ignoring traffic control signals.4:50 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Valerie Long, 22, of Grove City crashed and rolled several times along Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Long was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. She was cited for driving on roads laned for traffic.1 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Devin C. Hunt, 18, of Slippery Rock crashed into some large rocks and a mailbox along Muddy Creek Drive in Center Township. Hunt and a 17-year-old passenger were wearing seat belts and were not injured.12:10 p.m. Tuesday — Thomas Steiner, 58, of East Brady was cited for reckless driving after the tractor-trailer he was driving allegedly passed a school bus that was stopped with its amber lights flashing along Route 38 in Washington Township. Gardenscape Transport, Inc., of Eau Claire also was cited for altering the driver's log book, claiming he took Route 268 to avoid prosecution.11:59 p.m. Sept. 29 — Someone tried to steal a 2001 Jeep Wrangler from the parking lot of the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory on Kreiss Road in Connoquenessing Township between 12:01 a.m. Sept. 14 and 11:59 p.m. Sept. 27. A Craftsman tool kit and a Maglite flashlight were taken, and $1,500 in damage was caused to the vehicle.12:01 p.m. Sept. 26 — Someone stole an iPod, a soccer uniform and a pair of soccer spikes belonging to a 16-year-old Butler girl from her unlocked vehicle, parked on Hawk Drive in Connoquenessing Township between 8 p.m. Sept. 24 and 12:01 p.m. Sept. 26. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.

5 p.m. Friday — Daniel Hartman, 22, of Stoneboro, Pa., was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a drainage ditch. Hartman was not injured. Passenger Nicole Miller, 22, of Stoneboro was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries.9:43 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Melissa A. Chestnut, 28, of Grove City crashed into a utility pole along Route 258 near Courtney Mill Road in Liberty Township. Chestnut was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to the Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.1:20 a.m. Friday — John Raymond Grossman, 54, of Slippery Rock was arrested for theft after he allegedly was caught cutting telephone wire from a pole with the intent of selling it for scrap.5:45 p.m. Thursday — Someone broke into and stole items from a residence on Old Mercer Road in Springfield Township, belonging to Ronald David Brown, 59, of Volant, between 8:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Thursday.5:08 p.m. Wednesday — An SUV driven by Floyd R. Martin, 40, of Slippery Rock, an SUV driven by Ronald A. Moore, 29, of Grove City, and a tractor-trailer driven by Armalia Chindea, 55, of Grafton, Ohio, collided along Route 58 in Pine Township. All three drivers, as well as Chindea's passenger, Sever Chindea, 56, of Grafton, Ohio, were wearing seat belts and were not injured. Martin was cited in connection with the collision.3:30 p.m. Wednesday — Juan C. Crespo, 18, was charged with simple assault after he allegedly struck a 15-year-old boy in the head with a piece of metal at George Junior Republic in Pine Township.11:15 a.m. Sept. 25 — Someone stole a Stihl chain saw and a weed trimmer from a vehicle belonging to Landscape Design, LLC, of Grove City that was parked at the Prime Outlets in Springfield Township between 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sept. 25.
