Clement V. Began

Began

Clement V. Began, 91, of Zelienople, formerly of Boardman, Ohio, died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Nov. 23, 1916, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Andrew and Ann (Slobonik) Began.

Mr. Began was a World War II Army veteran who was awarded a Purple Heart.

He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a former member of Mannerchoir, the Bears Club and the South Optimist Club, all in Youngstown, Ohio.

Mr. Began retired as a crane operator from U.S. Steel in April 1979.

He enjoyed dancing, golfing and bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy (Brown) Began; and a daughter, Janet R. Began-Reder and her husband, Joseph, of Zelienople.

<B>BEGAN</B> — There will be no visitation. Services for Clement V. Began, who died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, are private.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
