Alice M. Morrow, 72, of Hooker Road, Karns City, Concord Township, died at 1 a.m. Monday at UPMC Seneca following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 27, 1936, in Concord Township, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Edna May Brinkart Byers.

She was a member of St. John Reformed Church of Chicora and a graduate of Concord Township High School Class of 1954.

She enjoyed camping, traveling and crafts. She and her husband hosted campgrounds throughout the United States and once in Alaska.

She was employed at a department store in Boston while her husband was in the service.

She married Wilbert R. Morrow on Jan. 28, 1954, in Bruin, and he survives along with four daughters, Julia K. Barger of Mary Esther, Fla., Janice L. Allison and her husband, Kenneth B., of Franklin, Joyce A. Bittner and her husband, William A., of Tucson, Ariz., and Lois J. Morrow of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sons, John A. Morrow of Chicora, and Randy J. Morrow of Blanchard; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Helen Hindman of Butler, and Ruth Byers of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were a brother, Ralph Byers; and two sisters, Marie Bell and Florence "Flo" Byers.

<B>MORROW</B> — Friends of Alice M. Morrow, who died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B> in Petrolia.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. John H. Pistorius, pastor of the St. John Reformed Church, officiating.Burial will follow in the St. Johns Reformed Church Cemetery, Chicora.Memorial donations may be made to St. Johns Reformed Church, Chicora, PA 16025.
