2:49 a.m. Wednesday — Megan Joy Kernicky, 28, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Chimest Street. Police said Kernicky also was cited for driving with a suspended license and not using her turn signals.Wednesday — Jamie Maga Jr. reported that his bicycle was stolen from the porch at his Mercer Street apartment. The blue and pink Huffy bike valued at $110, was taken between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday.5:58 p.m. Tuesday — Two girls were nabbed for allegedly shoplifting cosmetics at the Kmart store in Pullman Square. One of the girls had items worth $152 and the other had merchandise valued at $78. The suspects face retail theft charges in juvenile court.
1:40 a.m. Tuesday — Kenneth M. Donohue, 44, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car nearly struck a police cruiser on Butler Road in the township's Highfield section.State Police, Butler12:25 p.m. Wednesday — One person was hurt in a three-vehicle crash on Route 356 in Jefferson Township.The crash occurred when a vehicle driven by William H. Mitchell III, 45, of Sarver struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Stanley Mills, 66, of Butler. The collision forced Mills' vehicle into another vehicle driven by Scott L. Gould, 35, of Butler.Mills was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Police said Mitchell was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Wednesday — An unknown thief stole copper wire and plumbing pipe valued at $1,450 from a construction site at Arlington Commons in Slippery Rock. Pascoe Builders of New Castle owns the property that was stolen between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.6:40 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Caleb A. Miller, 21, of Altoona, Blair County, struck the rear of another car at Route 8 and Benbrook Road in Center Township. Police said Miller was cited for driving too fast for conditions. John Chiovanes, 29, of Butler was driving the car that was struck in the crash.
5:20 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Christopher M. Price, 22, of Slippery Rock crashed into a utility pole along Plain Grove Road in Plain Grove Township. Police said Price was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
