Jonathan "Jack" R. Albert Sr., 55, of Norfolk, Va., passed away Aug. 23 in Norfolk.

Born Dec. 28, 1952, in Butler, he was the son of Clyde and Jonell Albert Sr.

He retired after serving 20 years in the Marine Corps. He was also a staff manager for computer systems at ManTech.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Albert; three children, Jonathan R. Albert Jr. and wife, Cynthia, Christopher D. Albert Sr. and wife, LaQuanda and Jessica R. Crescini and husband, James; three sisters, Maraquet "Peggy" Jane Morris and Mary Kathryn Neeley of Stockton, Calif., and Joyce A. Smith of Butler; and two brothers, Clyde E. Albert Sr. of Eureka, Calif., and William Douglas of Stockton, Calif. He also is survived by six grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles.
