Pauline Althea Bullman Thompson

Pauline Althea Bullman Thompson, 85, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday at Ruby Green Tideland Community Hospice House in Georgetown. Her illness was brief and her passing was calm.

Born in Bruin, she was the daughter of Don B. and N. Margaret Bullman.

She graduated from Karns City High School and also from Butler Business College.

She was employed by Daugherty Refinery and Williams Jewelry Store, both in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Thompson retired from the Butler School District main office in 1984. She worked at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base and Horry Telephone.

She was unconditionally generous with others and shared her blessings. Mrs. Thompson truly did unto others as she would have them do unto her. She was a good Christian woman.

Survivors include two sons, Claude A. Thompson Jr. and his companion, Janis Sumlin, of Morganton, N.C., and Kim Thompson and his wife, Donna, of Conway, S.C.; five grandchildren, Bryan, Chris, Heather, Noah and Jonah; four great-grandchildren, Johnathon, Alexander, Skye and Marcus; and special friends, Barry, Tom and her many church friends and Pastor Burton Bosworth.

She was a devoted Mother who actively encouraged her sons. She provided guidance, wisdom, care and love. She will be lovingly missed by her sons, loved ones and devoted Phred.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Claude A. Thompson Sr.; and her brother, Crawford.
