Elizabeth J. "Betty" Bowser, 86, of Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Sligo, formerly of Emlenton and Perryville, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Thursday at the Clarion Hospital.

Born July 5, 1922, in St. Petersburg, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Perry C. and Emma J. Gates Duncle.

She was married in June 1947 to Earl C. Bowser who passed away May 5, 1995.

She was Protestant by faith and was a devoted housewife and mother for her adult life.

She is survived by three daughters, Gloria Sullivan and husband, Frank, of Emlenton, Mary Lou Delaney and husband, James, of Clarion and Rita Morrow and husband, Richard, of North Washington; three sons, James Bowser and wife, Dixie, of Bruin, Jerry of Minneapolis, Minn., and the Rev. Rick Bowser and wife, Deborah, of Rector. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson.

<B>BOWSER</B> — Friends of Elizabeth J. "Betty" Bowser, who died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home </B>in Parker. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Mt.
