KC boys soccer rolls to 12-0 win

It was a day of firsts for the Karns City High boys soccer team.

Senior Matt Myers scored his first career goal, as did Dylon Surrena as the Gremlins (7-4, 7-2) routed Forest 12-0 Saturday afternoon.

Eric McCue scored three goals and Josh Grenninger, usually a goalkeeper, added two more.

Cameron Harp added two goals for Karns City as well.

Pine-Richland 2, Butler 1 — The Golden Tornado (4-5-3, 4-1-2) dropped their first section game in this defeat at the hands of the Rams (8-3-1, 4-2-1).

Seneca Valley 2, North Hills 0 — The Raiders (7-5, 5-2) remained atop the section standings with this shutout.

Knoch 5, Deer Lakes 0 — The Knights (9-0-1, 5-0-1) remained unbeaten in this rout.

Mars 3, Kittanning 0 — The Planets (9-1-2, 6-1-2) kept pace with rival Knoch.

Taylor Troyan stopped seven shots in goal for Butler, but the Golden Tornado dropped a 1-0 heartbreaker to Shaler.<B>Seneca Valley 2, Mars 0</B> — The Raiders (12-0, 9-0) remained unbeaten with a dominant defensive performance over the Planets (6-4-2, 4-4-1).

Travis Anthony earned medalist honors by firing a 75 to lead the Union golf team to a championship at the Smethport Invitational Friday.Eddie Stewart shot an 81 and Scott Booth an 85.
