8:38 a.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Michelle Regrut, 37, of Butler was struck by a hit-and-run driver at the intersection of East Fulton Street and Cedar Street. The driver of the red sedan that left is described as a white man, about 40, with a medium build and wearing glasses. Regrut was not injured.12:01 a.m. Friday — Someone tried to rob Richard Dusheck, 51, of Butler as he sat in his kitchen at 503½ W. New Castle St., knocking on the back door and claiming he had a gun. After Dusheck refused, the person fled. The suspect was a white man in his 20s, wearing blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and a bandanna over his face.10:23 a.m. Thursday — Someone broke a window and entered Thelma's Salon on West Jefferson Street overnight, stealing a small amount of money.
2:19 p.m. Thursday — A motorcycle driven by William Allison, 61, of Renfrew and a car driven by Adam Bresnahan, 17, of Chicora collided on Route 8. Allison was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Bresnahan was charged with vehicles entering or crossing a road.11:12 a.m. Monday — James R. Williams Jr., 60, of Butler and Earnest McClary Jr., 62, of Pittsburgh were charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, criminal conspiracy to commit theft, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over a truck driven by Williams on Oneida Valley Road while investigating a possible scrap metal theft.
10:50 p.m. Thursday — James Noblit, 23, of Butler was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence and other traffic violations after his vehicle crashed into an embankment along Hall Road in Clay Township. Noblit was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.4:30 p.m. Wednesday — Someone broke into the home at 364 Moran Road in Clearfield Township, stealing an Intertec Tec Nine 9mm handgun, four 30-round magazines for the gun and two soda bottles full of change belonging to Jared Steighner of Butler between 5 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.
