Bruce E. Richmond

Bruce E. Richmond, 78, from Nectarine, a man of God and lover of his family and community, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Sunday at the Grove City Medical Center.

Born Nov. 3, 1929, in St. Charles, Pa., he was the son of Arlin J. Richmond and Rosa J. Hamilton Richmond. He was the oldest of 10 children.

He married Peggy J. Surrena Richmond in July 1951. She survives.

Mr. Richmond received his education in Kentucky.

He operated Richmond and Son Water and Construction Co.

Mr. Richmond was a veteran of the Army.

He attended the Grove City Christian Missionary and Alliance Church. He also was a preacher, preaching in several community churches and in the Church of God in Nectarine.

Along with his wife, surviving are five children, Clair "Arlin" Richmond and his wife, Sharon, of Clintonville, Ronald Lee Richmond and his wife, Patsy, of Baton Rouge, La., David Bruce Richmond of Lexington, Ky., Alan Curtis Richmond and his wife, Tammy, of West Middlesex and Stephen Cameron and his wife, Lori, of Grove City; three sisters, Betty Jo Richmond of Maryville, Tenn., Martha A. Morgan of Grove City and Georgie A. Maddox and her husband, Robert, of Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Tinker A. Richmond and his wife, Linda, of Maryville, Tenn., and Jack D. Richmond, also of Maryville; 10 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon J. Richmond, who passed away Oct. 19. 1976; three sisters, Mrs. Robert "Janivee M." McFadden, Nina Richmond and Mrs. Bruce "Tina N." Petty; and a brother, Joel A. Richmond.

<B>RICHMOND</B> — The family of Bruce E. Richmond, who died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home</B>, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Steven Richmond, lay speaker from Grove City Missionary and Alliance Church, officiating. The interment will take place at the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery.
