Charlotte E. Fleischer
Charlotte E. Fleischer, 103, of Butler, died at 5:20 a.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 27, 1904, in Butler, the daughter of the late Ira Payne and the late Emma E. Blair Payne.
She was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church. She was very active in her church and was a marvelous Christian woman.
She dearly loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. Throughout her life, she was active in Easter Star, White Shrine, Butler's Woman's Club, Bethel Sunday School Class, and Presbyterian Women, and she was a Girl Scout leader at her church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Betty Judson of Butler; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great- great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Margy Hindman of Butler; and a friend, Linda Sheakley of Petrolia.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Maricq, who died in 1957; her second husband, John M. Fleisher, who died in 1993; a daughter, Juanita Gerken; and two stepchildren.
<B>FLEISCHER</B> — Friends of Charlotte E. Fleischer, who died Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. Merry Maloy, officiating.
