Robert D. Gillespie
Robert D. "Bob" Gillespie, 49, of Senoia, Ga., died Saturday at UPMC Montefiore due to complications from hemochromatosis.
Bob was born Aug. 1, 1959, to Donald L. and the late Sally Louann Lippincott Gillespie in Rochester.
He spent a good part of his youth working and spending time on a neighboring farm, where he became lifelong friends with many of the local farmers.
Bob served as a U.S. Navy SEAL before moving to Georgia.
It was in Georgia that Bob started his company, Corporate Facilities Group Inc., basing the business on the same philosophies from which he lived his life: paying it forward, investing in people and raising the level of customer service.
Last year, Bob realized his dream of moving back to the country when he found an 11-acre lot with a small lake and house, where he spent many days on his new tractor and watching the wildlife on their property.
Bob is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jan Gillespie, and many other extended family members and close friends.
