Butler School District students won scholarship prizes at the Miss Butler County/America 2008 pageant held recently at the Succop Theatre.
Amelia Bishop, 13, was named Junior Miss Butler County/America 2008. She is the daughter of Scott and Lori Bishop of Center Township.
Lydia Anthony, 13, was first runner up.
Haley Hoffman, 8, was named Little Miss Butler County/America 2008. She is the daughter of K.C. and Lisa Hoffman of Butler.
Jessica Bishop, 9, was first runner up and
Lauren Russo, 9, was second runner up.———
<B>Chrichelle McDeavitt</B> of Slippery Rock recently earned an award for logging 50 hours in the American Quarter Horse Association Horseback Riding program.The program recognizes and rewards AQHA members for time spent with their American Quarter Horse in activities such as trail rides, working cattle, pleasure driving and riding.
