10:32 p.m. Saturday — Ronald Smith, 59, of Butler Township was arrested for driving under the influence after his pickup struck another pickup parked on Roosevelt Boulevard. Police said Smith also was cited for careless driving. Anthony Dimichele of Butler owns the pickup that was struck in the crash.10:21 a.m. Saturday — An unidentified green Jeep Cherokee struck the side of a car at North McKean and East North streets and drove away after the crash. Natashya Magill, 23, of Slippery Rock, who was driving the car, described the unknown driver of the Jeep as a white woman with dark hair and glasses. Magill said the woman was on a cell phone when the crash happened.

Monday — A gun owner reported that his Civil War era Allen and Wheelock Center Hammer Army Revolver was stolen from his home between Aug. 23 and Saturday.10:41 p.m. Friday — Acar driven by Rebecca Porter, 35, of Butler crashed and rolled into a house along Grandview Boulevard after hitting a steel post, mailboxes and a parked vehicle.5 p.m. Friday — Angela Kouns, 37, of Akron, Ohio, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Filbert Road.3:30 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Gretchen Reichhold, 20, of Harmony struck the rear of a pickup truck at Hansen Avenue and Whitestown Road. Police said the unknown driver of the pickup drove away after the crash, which caused severe damage to the car.11:05 a.m. Friday — Two unknown thieves in a yellow Penski rental truck stole an unspecified number of wooden pallets from the Bilo Foods store in Point Plaza. The store manager described the suspects as thin, black males. The truck had the Pennsylvania license plate YGT-0631.Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

4 a.m. today — Adeer ran into the side of a motorcycle driven by William J. Best, 47, of Butler, on Dick Road near Route 422 in Franklin Township. Best was not injured but his cycle sustained severe damage.3:05 a.m. today — Amy L. Traugott, 23, of Karns City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck another car parked on Washington Street in Parker, Armstrong County.1:25 a.m. today — Someone broke a window at the Saxon Golf Course clubhouse in Clinton Township, setting off a burglar alarm inside.6:52 p.m. Saturday — Aman and woman on a motorcycle were injured when a car struck the back of their bike at the intersection of Routes 173 and 8 in Brady Township.John M. McFarland Jr., 56, of Saxonburg, who was driving the cycle, suffered minor injuries. Mary K. Watson, 48, of Apollo, Armstrong County, a passenger, was treated for unknown injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. Police said Jane Bryan, 58, of Pittsford, N.Y., was driving the car.Saturday — Justin Lee Foust reported that a Sony combination compact disc player and radio was stolen from a car at his Rosewood Lane home in Marion Township. The car's transmission, as well as other items in the vehicle, also were taken. The theft occurred between Aug. 26 and Saturday.

11:10 p.m. Aug. 26 — Todd Kougher, 25, of Harrisville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 19 and Steingrabe Road in East Lackawannock Township.5:30 p.m. Aug. 24 — William E. McBride Jr., 47, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 36-year-old woman during a domestic dispute at his Jamison Road home in Worth Township. The woman, who police did not identify, was treated at Grove City Medical Center for unspecified injuries. Police said McBride is charged with simple assault.

1:20 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Rebecca Dambach, 17, and Thomas Wharry, 36, both of New Castle collided on Route 65 near Harmony Baptist Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said Dambach was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
