The Ellenbergers in 1958

Robert and Marlene Ellenberger of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner Aug. 30 at the Garden Gate Restaurant.

Ellenberger married the former Marlene Brown on Aug. 29, 1958, at the Mountain Lake Baptist Church in Loch Lynn Heights, Md.

They have four children, James Ellenberger, David Ellenberger, Donald Ellenberger and Robert Ellenberger Jr., all of Butler.

They also have five grandchildren.

Ellenberger is retired quality control inspector for Magnetics. He attended Bible Baptist College.

Mrs. Ellenberger is a homemaker and is retired from the Texas Credit Bureau in Fort Worth, Texas.

The couple own and operate Bob's Greenhouse in Butler and belong to Faith Fellowship Alliance Church.
